چکیده
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with several key hallmarks, including elevated Th2 cytokines, interleukin (IL)-4 and IL-13; spongiosis; barrier deficits pruritus. The goal of this study was to characterize the immune cell populations present in circulation AD donors compared healthy controls. Plasma samples from had increased levels TARC (CCL17) IgE consistent active disease. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) isolated using standard Ficoll-Paque density gradient protocols were characterized multi-color flow cytometry. Few significant differences observed between lymphoid myeloid exception an unexpected population that positive for neutrophil markers CD15 CD16. Neutrophils are first line defense system inflammation. While neutrophils not cells, their appearance preparation notable. These low-density have been described other diseases asthma, sepsis, psoriasis, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. further by labeling surface markers, CD66b CD62L, which can discriminate activated (CD66b+CD62L-) mature (CD66b+CD62L+) neutrophils. presence CD15+CD16+ CD66b+CD62L- confirmed whole absent donor blood. Collectively these findings show unique samples. متن کاملPeripheral blood eosinophilia in atopic dermatitis.
BACKGROUND Eosinophil granulocytes and eosinophilic granule proteins are deposited in the skin lesions of AD patients. Increased Th2 activity in the acute phase of AD is associated with IL-5 expression and results in enhanced eosinophilopoiesis, eosinophilic activation, and chemotaxis. MATERIAL AND METHODS Thirty AD patients attending the Allergic Diseases Diagnostic Center and hospitalized i...
